Kind and Talented FEI PRE

Hortelano has impeccable manners, temperament and character.  He acts like a gentleman both at home and in any environment and takes care of his rider. This stunning PRE started his FEI career at age 7 and has been successfully showing PSG and I-1 for the full show season for 4 years with no soundness or health problems. He has shown PSG 20 times and I-1 15 times, plus most recently an I-1 freestyle. He is schooling the 1s, piaffe, and passage and with continued professional training may be ready to show those shortly. He is well on his way to become a Grand Prix horse.

One of the best qualities of “Hortie” is his level headed temperament and confidence at shows. You do not have to worry about any nonsense either in training or on the show grounds and just focus on the quality of your riding. Although he is a stallion he is very easy to handle and can be collected the day before a show and go on to have a normal day.  He can be ridden in busy warm up rings with mares and other horses with no issues. He is very quiet and calm at the show grounds and is easy to groom and tack up for the show.
He is a proven stud with an average stud fee of $5,000.  He has offspring that are currently competing successfully in dressage in both the US and Europe.

“Hortie” would be appropriate for a variety of riders. He is not overly sensitive or offended by less skilled riders. An AA or YR/JR would do well with him in a training program to continue his development to GP level. He would also be a great prospect to invest in as a breeding performance GP stallion. He has recent X-rays on file for review upon request.
